Changing behavior patterns and investing in safety barriers is a process that requires human and financial resources. As a way to help the whole process, they turned to R-PROTECTION.We visited the facilities and together we thoroughly analyzed all the safety measures they had to implement. solution R-PROTECTION After visiting their facilities, ASSA ABLOY was available to partner with us to carry out a safe project, suited to their needs. We carried out a risk analysis and identified which points in the internal spaces needed protection: Supermakets; Access gate; Racks with tool storage; Racks from central aisle; Vending machines zone; Warehouse 1; Mold and production zones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VDUDK206PE Based on the needs assessment, we started to draw up a plan for the safe project, including the production and set up of the safety barriers. After talking with José Viana, Process Engineer, and Helena Afonso, Hygiene and Safety at Work Technician, we advised to protect the busiest areas of the company, with the X-PRO Line, a line produced with high quality standards and resistant to different impacts. For the access gate, we used the pioneer line of protection – PIN Line. With the purpose of optimizing the maximum space and the ability to absorb impacts, heavy pins were installed. Furthermore, there was an urgent need to protect ASSA ABLOY’s structural and infrastructural elements. When approaching the possibilities, we agreed that the most viable option would be to install the SHIELD Line, which offers 360º protection conditions against impacts on pillars, equipment and racks. This line absorbs every impact due to the angled sections. In addition to safety barriers, ASSA ABLOY also approached us to create a tailor-made safety model, which consists on producing a limiting protection. Thus, from a completely personalized barrier, we guarantee maximum protection to the equipment, since the barrier limits the route of the stackers.
